Antenatal & Postnatal Care

Antenatal Care

You do not need to see the GP when you first become pregnant. Instead you can self-refer directly to Kingston Hospital Maternity Services. Please complete their web form, available here

If you do wish to book an appointment with the GP, please do so at around 6-8 weeks of conceiving. We do not perform pregnancy tests in the surgery so you will need to obtain an over-the-counter test before coming to see your GP.

Appointment Schedule for Antenatal Care:

Postnatal Care

After having your baby, we would like you and baby to book a 30 minute post-natal appointment with a doctor to coincide with 8 weeks after the birth date. During this visit, you will have the opportunity to discuss any issues you might be experiencing and to give your baby their first set of immunisations in order to protect them from disease.
